Moscow, at the beginning of June, somewhere in the traffic jam of an arterial road. The taxi driver shakes the head. The fact that I call dolphin the Russian Moby, he may not at all. We both hear "youth" (Юность), dolphin new album, appeared already in November, 2007, first-introduced February, 2008 in the Moscow club of Apelsin. The taxi driver is cool, in the cockpit they lie scratch CD covers of Linda (Линда), Gluk'OZA (Глюк'ОЗА), Trofim (Трофим), and just Moby. My Russian is not enough, we could well talk about the new of dolphin. Delfin's poetry is brilliant, swarms the driver. I understand exactly Nitschewo and Super-Voksal.
However, there is no more brilliant soundtrack to stop by Moscow. Immediately the first number "cocoon" (Кокон) is dramatic and the probably most urgent number of the album. Dolphin alias Andrey V. Lysikov has for the first time the brilliant Gitaristen Pawel "pasha" Dodonow, since 2002 the only fixed tape member who leave music and on Lyrics, Vocals and digital drums concentrates. Between track 1 and 13 "joys" (Радость) lies for dolphin typical, melancholy in all variants, carried by thick guitar textures (as with number 6 "R'n'B") and Synthie sounds ("robot" speaks there for itself). Dolphin sings the whole album about - only with song 7 “without us” (”Без нас”) he rebels rapping.
We further stop, we have created a few kilometres. The taxi driver plays from his mobile phone a dolphin HipHop track from beginning of 1990. I try to approximate me in a new metaphor of the Russian perspective on dolphin. With lingustischen Rudimenten, to hands and feet, I explain Joy Division, Sonic Youth and Moby to schoolboys of teacher Andrey V. Lysikov. The taxi driver understands, nods in the affirmative and gases.
